As the summary says, proper naming. Adding /ru (or the appropriate language code for other languages) is how translation page titles are supposed to be formatted, so that it becomes a subpage of the English one it's based off of. Really it's supposed to be like that for all the pages rather than translating the name, but I find the translated name to be acceptable so long as it's properly categorized.

Hydradark[]

Can you please add the Hydra dark skin to this wiki? https://help.gamepedia.com/Converting_to_hydradark I would greatly appreciate it (and I'm sure others would too). Maoman (talk) 23:49, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

A dark skin option is on my to-do list, but it is a fair amount of work to have two skins on a wiki working together. For a short-term solution, you can add styling to Special:MyPage/common.css and it will be applied for you while logged in.

Okay so I've been making my own dark theme in Maoman/common.css and it's looking pretty good so far. Got a question for you though. I've been using https://help.gamepedia.com/MediaWiki_CSS to find the flags I need but there's a couple I just can't find: the one for alerts like {{cleanup}} so I can change the white background here https://i.imgur.com/NAVNCGM.png, and the flag (or more likely flags) for the inner section in the navbox so I can change the alternating rows of light grey background here https://i.imgur.com/4VxUVo8.png. Do you happen to know them or know where I can find them?

Here's a pic of the skin btw https://i.imgur.com/NYcNbv7.png and the CSS in case you want to check it out for yourself https://pastebin.com/gMx1rBQz probably 80-90% of it is copied from other skins so there's a lot of redundant and unnecessary stuff I need to clean up but it works Maoman (talk) 09:16, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

I may have figured it out for you, although it might not be perfect (the used colors are just to test it out):
 .ambox {
  background-color: #5b5e5f;
}

table.navbox {
  background-color: #1b1e1f;
}

.navbox-even {
  background-color: #4b4e4f
}

.table.navbox sets the odd rows in navboxes, .navbox-even sets the even rows. Ondar111 (talk) 13:38, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
Nice, thanks! Here are updated links to the pic https://i.imgur.com/DeWNrdS.png and the CSS https://pastebin.com/XcVC30ey if anyone wants to use it for themselves. It's not perfect but it's a hell of a lot better. Maoman (talk) 17:52, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

Issue with Chainsaw article - not able to remove from Weapons category[]

I've attempted to remove the Weapons category from the Chainsaw article (https://satisfactory.gamepedia.com/Chainsaw), as it cannot be used as a weapon, however it doesn't seem to be working.

When editing the categories, Weapons was not initially listed as an option, and so I re-added it and tried to remove it again with no luck. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.154.113.127 (talkcontribs) at 18:44, 30 July 2020‎ (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Fixed, it was due to some automatic categorization the infobox was doing.

Arabic wiki translating![]

I'm having some troubles with translating the wiki to Arabic due to it's not supported. Arabic is a RTL language. Shortcuts came hard to write it in Arabic. Combining Shortcuts that written in English and text in Arabic making a total miss.

Not to mention the Arabic language font is also needs to change due to some letters can't be differentiated.

So please can you figure out something to help translating the wiki to Arabic!

Yours, Ahmed.IA7MDfa (talk) 19:57, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi IA7MDfa. Sorry it took me so long to respond, it's been a very busy week.
Try changing the language in your preferences to Arabic, then the wiki will show in RTL for you. I assume by shortcuts you're referring to Templates? Yeah, those might be a little harder to adjust on-wiki since they all assume LTR text. You might have better luck creating a new wiki with Arabic as the language, then porting things over where they can be freely adjusted to support Arabic. That would be a big project though, so consider how much time you want to devote to that first.
Let me know if I can be of further help or if you have any questions.

New add moves recipies table off screen[]

Iv noticed on a few pages, such as the Blender and Refinery that the table with the recipies load in but then in quickly lost to view when that add loads in there. editing the html to remove that add makes the recipies visable again, scrolling to the side to see the recipies is not posiable while the add is there Jarno458 (talk) 13:51, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

What's your browser, platform and screen resolution? Do you use the expanded or collapsed view? Also, please post site issues on the admin noticeboard next time. --Ondar111 (talk) 18:31, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
I was using Chrome and Firefox, but it seems to have fixed now Jarno458 (talk)
