S.A.M. Ore, which stands for Strange Alien Metal, a rare resource found in the world. Its resource nodes will only produce around 80 ore, and cannot be mined for about 30 minutes afterward (or until the game is reloaded). S.A.M. ore nodes can mostly be found in caves or on top of huge rocks.

Obtaining[edit | edit source]

The resource node of S.A.M. Ore can be located with a Resource Scanner once unlocked. It can be harvested by hand (default E) or by placing a Miner on a resource node. Trace amount of it can be found scattered around the world in deposit form.

  • The maximum rate with a Miner Mk.3 at 250 % is 1200/min, whereas a Belt Mk.5 can only carry 780/min, so the maximum mining rate is 9600/min.

Usage[edit | edit source]

This is currently unavailable in Early Access.

S.A.M. Ore can be turned into S.A.M. Ingots, which can then be turned into S.A.M. Fluctuators, used to build the Remote Storage and the Converter.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • S.A.M. Ore is the only ore that doesn't have a stack size of 100.
