Extracts solid resources from the resource node it is built on.
The normal extraction rate is 60 resources per minute.
The extraction rate is modified depending on resource purity. Outputs all extracted resources onto connected conveyor belts.

The Miner Mk.1 is a structure used to automate the mining of various ores from resource nodes found around the World. The engineer can locate these nodes using the Resource Scanner.

It is unlocked after completing the Tier 0 Milestone "Hub Upgrade 4".

Mining speed[edit | edit source]

To calculate the Miner Mk.1 mining speed:

(mining speed) = (purity modifier) * (overclock percentage) * 60

Purity modifiers; Impure = 0.5x, Normal = 1.0x, Pure = 2.0x.

The mining speed for the Miner Mk.1 is:

Node Purity Mining Speed

Impure 30 45 60 75
Normal 60 90 120 150
Pure 120 180 240 300

Overclocking[edit | edit source]

The Miner Mk.1 can be overclocked up to 250% speed, at the cost of greatly increased power consumption.

Building placement[edit | edit source]

  • The Miner Mk.1 can only be placed on resource nodes. Often resource deposits will spawn on top of resource nodes, they appear as large chunks on the resource nodes. The Miner Mk.1 cannot be placed on top of a resource node that has a resource deposit; the engineer must hand-mine the resource first, which usually takes less than half a minute.
  • Miners can be upgraded in-place. Power cable connected to it will remain connected, however the output belt has to be re-connected for it to work. It's cargo content of ores will also be transferred to Engineer's inventory, so be cautious when upgrading Uranium Miner.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

The Miner Mk.1 can be built on the resource node even if the entire node is covered by foundations. This does not apply to Portable Miner.
