The Foundry is a building that smelts two ore resources into alloy ingots that can then be further processed. It is unlocked at Tier 4 - Steel Processing.

Smelting[edit | edit source]

The Foundry is used exclusively for combining multiple ore resources into a single resource. It cannot be used for smelting single ore resources into single ingot resources nor does it behave like a tier 2 smelter.

Overclocking[edit | edit source]

The foundry can be overclocked using Power Shards. Overclocking increases the input/output speed of the smelter at greatly increased power demand.

Tips[edit | edit source]

As steel production consumes a lot of iron ore and coal, it is advised to research Alternate recipe: Steel Ingot as soon as possible.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

As the output connector is not at the center, the building guide does not work on the output side of the foundry. Engineers are advised to align mergers/splitters manually.
