A Conveyor Lift is a mechanism that transports items vertically. It has 6 tiers similar to conveyor belts. It cannot be used to transport anything other than items. It can be directly connected to a belt connector on machines, such as miners or constructors.

You can rotate its output direction by using mouse wheel. The input rotation is same as the building rotation. Use mouse movement to change its height - it can go up or down in increments of 1 meter. The minimum vertical distance is 4 meters and the maximum is 48 meters. Similar to conveyor belts, you can upgrade a conveyor lift in-place.

Construction[edit | edit source]

The building of lift always starts with its starting point and ends with its ending point.

  • To build an upward lift, click on the floor, or snap to any existing machine, belt or splitter output. Move your mouse UPWARD to adjust the height. Use the mouse wheel to rotate the output direction then click AGAIN to confirm.
  • To build a downward lift, snap to any existing machine, belt or splitter input. Move your mouse DOWNWARD to adjust the height. Use the mouse wheel to rotate the output direction then click AGAIN to confirm.
  • If you want to build a top-down lift, near the edge of the cliff or foundation, build a conveyor pole there, then snaps the lift to it and pull downward.
  • As the lift height is limited to 48 meters, you may need to join several of them to form a longer vertical lift.

Tiers[edit | edit source]

There are currently 5 tiers of conveyor lifts available in the game:

Connectivity[edit | edit source]

How to check if the conveyor lift has been connected properly. At the example below, look at the shape of the flexible connector:

Blue: The connector flexes out, indicating it is connected. Red: The connector retracts, showing no connection
  • Conveyor lift must be built after the you built the structure it is connected to. For example, building a splitter after building the lift will not work.
  • Conveyor lift can be built in-between a splitter and a machine (eg, Assembler) directly, without the need of a short belt, provided the distances in-between are correct. The Manufacturer and Nuclear Power Plant are exceptions, as the input and output are both offset by half a meter compared to the foundation grids, making it impossible to align the gap with splitters. A short belt is required in this case.
  • The starting point of the lift snaps to an existing belt, but the ending point will not (encroaching message will appear instead if you attempt to). You have to connect the belt to the ending point of the lift for proper connection. In either case, the flexible connector appears to be retracted.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • There are flexible connectors with the length of 1 meter which extend out at both ends.
  • Once the jetpack is unlocked the engineer can utilise the Conveyor Lifts to gain access to height quickly, much faster and also cheaper than using a ladder: build chains of Conveyor Lifts Mk.1, each segment should cost about 22 Iron Plates.
  • Power Poles can be placed on the end segments of lifts.
