Conveyor Lifts are mechanisms that transport items vertically. They have 6 marks, just like Conveyor Belts. They cannot be used to transport anything other than items, and items cannot be picked up from them. They can be directly connected to a belt connector on machines, such as Miners or Constructors.

Its rotation can be changed by scrolling. Use mouse movement to change its height - it can go up or down in increments of 1 meter. The minimum vertical distance is 4 meters and the maximum is 48 meters. Similar to Conveyor Belts, Conveyor Lifts can be upgraded in-place, which will return the contained items.

Construction[edit | edit source]

The building of lift always starts with its starting point and ends with its ending point.

  • To build an upward lift, click on the floor, or snap to any existing machine, belt or splitter output. Move your mouse UPWARD to adjust the height. Use the mouse wheel to rotate the output direction then click AGAIN to confirm.
  • To build a downward lift, snap to any existing machine, belt or splitter input. Move your mouse DOWNWARD to adjust the height. Use the mouse wheel to rotate the output direction then click AGAIN to confirm.
  • If you want to build a top-down lift, near the edge of the cliff or foundation, build a conveyor pole there, then snaps the lift to it and pull downward.
  • The height of one lift is limited to 48 meters, however, multiple lifts can be attached to each other, allowing for theoretically infinitely tall lift chains.

Note: Unlike the Conveyor Belt Mk.6, Conveyor Lift Mk.6 never appeared in public builds of the game. Its existence and capacity is confirmed by translation strings.[1]

Connectivity[edit | edit source]

To check a Conveyor Lift's connectivity, look at the shape of its flexible connectors:

Blue: The connector flexes out, indicating it is connected. Red: The connector retracts, showing no connection
  • The Conveyor Lift must be built after the structure it is connected to. For example, building a Conveyor Splitter after building the lift will not work.
  • Conveyor Lifts can be built in-between a Splitter and a machine (eg, Assembler) directly, without the need for a short belt, provided the distances in-between are correct. The Nuclear Power Plant is an exception, as the input and output are both offset by half a meter in relation to foundation grids, making it impossible to align the gap with Splitters. A short belt is required in this case.
  • The starting point of the lift snaps to an existing Belt, but the ending point does not ("Encroaching others clearance"). In either case, the flexible connector appears to be retracted.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • There are flexible connectors with the length of 1 meter which extend out at both ends.
  • Once the Jetpack is unlocked, the engineer can utilize the Conveyor Lifts to gain access to height quickly, much faster and also cheaper than using a ladder: build chains of Conveyor Lifts Mk.1, each segment should cost about 22 Iron Plates.
  • Power Poles can be placed on the end segments of lifts.
